Frontiers of Flight Museum serves a special role as the keeper of Dallas Love Field’s aviation history. The Museum, which is a Smithsonian Institute, is home to more than 35,000 artifacts, offers an acclaimed STEM education program, and is a Blue Star Museum. Since its first flight in 1971, Southwest Airlines has continued to grow with Dallas Love Field. Southwest Airlines is dedicated to being part of the Love Field community and is involved not only with the Centennial Celebration, but also the Love Field Modernization Program.
The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) is a one-of-a-kind program that works to restore and preserve military aircrafts that were utilized by all branches of the United States Military in combat. With members living across the United States, CAF is headquartered right here in Dallas and offers programs such as air shows, educates the public, and offers plane rides.
